Christmas Parties

I am shocked, I am amazed! I found out today that Anna's Christmas party for a company that will remain unnamed, starts this Saturday night at 9PM! 9PM! What kind of gathering is this? Not that I'm complaining about a large company hosting a nice catered party for their employees to show their appreciation for hard work and to celebrate the holidays in one massive team building exercise gone wrong, but really? I mean starting at 9 and knowing those who show up fashionably late may come at 10, is this not all asking for trouble? I admit, my complaint with all this is that I want to escort Anna and have a good time, but some of us have to be up at six the next morning for much more Holy things. I don't want to be tired. I want to be energized. I am battling between leaving like a square at somewhat of a reasonable hour and getting some well needed sleep, or toughing it out with the big kids and trying to perform Biff on a few hours sleep and a huge cup of Irish Breakfast Tea. Ooooh the delima, be the good boyfriend and Biff suffers, or be the non-supportive boyfriend and Biff will shine like a star. I guess we shall see how things go.
